Along with Kay’s weekly discussion we also meet for weekly Somatic Writing. Led by Alysa Osvog, Gateless trained Writing Facilitator who believes in the cathartic experience of moving formless into form and has inspired hundreds of writers and non-writers to move through words. She also had a transformative experience as patient in Kay’s 8 week course. Bringing her personal and professional skills to help integrate the depth of Kay’s wisdom into your personal experience.
Writing Salons offer a solid framework that begin by easing into relaxation, where creativity comes alive. You’ll be gently guided into the imaginal, accessing different thoughts, feelings, images and ideas- then landed with a writing prompt. You’re welcome to write anything that flows through, no editing, no judgment just talk to the page from that unfiltered voice, we are so longing to hear. After about 10 minutes we circle back- you’re invited, not forced to share. The cool part about sharing is that is where the brain science comes in. We offer only positive feedback, based on the work- commenting on imagery, characters, particular words or lines in the piece. And by hearing this echoed back, it creates new neural pathways, reinforcing the fact that it is okay to be creative, it is okay to be imperfect, it’s okay to think and feel for ourselves. Holding up the power of art and building confidence on and off the page. In each salon we release so many feel good chemicals, share ‘ahha’ moments, while listening to the whispers in the white space and sharing in the powerful art of the written word.

Teen Empowerment & Art
For those underage seekers of connection beyond the 3D. We start with ‘spilling tea' ceremony to check-in and make a playlist together, then decide as a group on theme for our practice- Yoga, Meditation and Writing. Empowering choices, validating all the feels in a judgement free zone. Offering safe space to be seen and heard, to calm the nervous system and feel inspired to build a relationship with themselves and a life beyond their wildest dreams.
